On Tuesday-Thursday from 7:00-9:00 pm, the team conducted a Youth Rally at Bible Baptist Church. Like Condell Park Bible Church, it was great to again see Pastor and Mrs. Medina since we last ministered to them in 2019. Each evening, various team members had the opportunity to not only plan the entire Youth Rally, but also each of the guys (Trevor, Chris, and Josh) had the opportunity to preach, a few of the ladies (Maddy, Karina, and Cailyn) had the opportunity to teach the little children, and the rest of the team led the program and games. Several team members had the opportunity to share their testimonies (such as Morgan) and it was great to again have Ben join us on Wednesday and Thursday evening to assist us with the music.
As the Blue Team leaders, Josh and Marenda kept the program exciting and Chris and Christina kept the Red Team pumped as all four of them did a great job keeping the youth engaged (PS: Chris wanted you to know that the Red Team won…). The youth were really excited about the games and enjoyed the icebreakers and the skit.
As we ministered to the youth, several Bible Baptist church members and particularly the Medinas greatly ministered to our team through the ministry of food. Whether it was providing wonderful dinners each evening (both before and after the program) as well as breakfast each morning, we (along with our tastebuds) were overwhelmed by their hospitality and generosity. During the last evening, the church gave each of us a special gift bag which was quite memorable.
After the Youth Rally each evening, Pastor Medina wrapped up the program by passionately appealing to each one about the eternal importance of salvation and living for God. Throughout the Rally, several team members had the opportunity to chat with folks and encourage them in taking their next step for God. As mentioned in a previous post, Josh had the opportunity to attend the True North Summit and spend some extra time with the Medinas on Friday evening as they gave Josh a personalized tour of the Sydney Harbour area. Thank you to Bible Baptist Church and to the Medinas for not only allowing our team to minister to the youth, but also greatly ministering to us both spiritually and physically!
