What would be the likelihood in 2023 of two men being called to serve full-time in Australia serving on the same YOM Australia Team (2019) AND being from the same church? Seeing Missionary Josh Zacharias standing next to Educator Ben Jackey on Sunday was almost surreal–only a Great God can do something like that!
What would be the likelihood in 2023 meeting someone half way across the world who knows a current Pensacola Christian College student that knows Dr. Cirone well? …only a Great God can do that!
Our hearts are overflowing with joy as we look back on our incredible first Sunday in Australia. It was a day marked by the evident presence of God. The teams preparations culminated in a service that was full of God’s love and grace.
We were privileged to hear heartfelt messages, from both Trevor and Josh, about how God has worked in their lives. It was a reminder that as Christians we must surrender to God’s will for our lives.
Our hearts were encouraged as we joined together in singing special music for Calvary Baptist Church (CBC). A moving solo was performed by Ben and the trio of Marenda, Christina, and Cailyn sang a beautiful song. While Trevor was preaching, Karina, Cailyn, Morgan, and Christina held down the fort by conducting the Little Sprouts and Junior Church programs. During the fellowship after the service, CBC prepared a delicious spread of Filipino and Australian specialties. During the fellowship, Marenda was able to speak and lead a young girl named Anya to the Lord!
Later that night the team was able to enjoy the sights of Skyhigh cafe and lookout! It overlooked the city of Melbourne. We enjoyed a cuppa (cup of tea/coffee) and some chips! Chris was able to witness to a gentlemen named Sean at Woolworths during our nightly grocery run. Please pray for Sean to accept salvation and for Anya to continue to grow in her new walk with Christ!
In conclusion, your prayers, support, and participation contribute to our ability to minister to the Australian. May we continue to be faithful stewards of God’s message of love, hope, and salvation.
