Thank you for your prayers as we arrived safely to Australia this morning (Friday) around 9:30 am. The flight was fairly smooth and uneventful and several of us even feel rested from our 15-hour plan journey. It was so good to see Missionary Josh Zacharias and our 2019 YOM Team Australia Ben Jackey who both met us at the airport.
After we picked up our two 8-passenger minivans, we headed to our place of residence, freshened up a bit, and then had a meet-and-greet as the team got to know Missionary Zacharias and Ben. This allowed Missionary Zacharias to really share his heart and burden for Australia as well as for Saturday’s Youth Rally. We spent quite a bit of time in prayer which was definitely needed and appreciated and finished up with a lovely lunch cooked/prepared several of the ladies.
Knowing that we had to stay up to help our bodies get over the jet lag, we headed out for a walk to Melbourne’s Central Business District and explored some of the local sights in the evening brisk air (remember, it is winter time). Please pray for our Saturday Youth Rally as over 50 teens are expected to attend. Also, please keep in prayer all the tracts/Gospel literature that has been handed out that the recipients would take the time to read the information and be eternally impacted for Christ.
